I am almost at 100 sales in my shop! To celebrate this small accomplishment the 100th sale will get an extra special something as a thank you. Also, all weekend long I will be adding new earrings, hairpins, and necklaces to the store.

I had a little time to work on some new goodies for the shop. All of the new stuff will be fall inspired--out with the bright colors! I will be adding more grays, plums, oranges, and browns to go with fall wardrobes.

End of Summer

Summer is officially over for Mr. W and me. We had a wonderful summer-- filling up our Sundays with TMC movies at the Drive-In, Wednesday's movie night at the park, a mini vacation to Julian, CA, bike rides, and last but not least a very nice 4 days in Leo Carrillo State Park with the ones that I love.

A few things I discovered from this summer vacation:
1. How much I love bike riding and how much I really missed it.
2. Mr. W and I need to take more trips to the beach.
3. How much I missed camping at Leo Carrillo with my family and how we will once again make camping a yearly event.
4. I think we found a wedding venue!

Now that Mr. W is back in school our weeknights until Christmas vacation will be filled with a 9:30 "curfew"--and a lot of planning of lunches and work outfits!

My new ride!

Introducing....my brand new bike... well new to me. We scored this vintage beauty on craigslist. It is a 1978 Raleigh Sports bicycle and it was made in Nottingham in October 78. I have not taken her out for a real ride yet, I wanted to give her a cleaning and tomorrow she is going to be fitted with a basket! As far as I know everything is original except for the new tires we just put on it.

Mr. W did a great job in finding me a bike. He found the listing on Tuesday morning and had the bike at our house by the time I got home from work at 4:30. His partners-in-crime were none other than my sis and brother-in-law. Sis rode along as a "consultant" specializing in my taste and brother-in-law provided the muscle and transportation.

Friday Happiness/Shop update

Happy Friday Everyone!!! It has been a long hot week here in Southern California and it doesn't look like it's going to cool down anytime soon. If you have any ideas on how to stay cool please let me know...we live in an old house and do not have central air. :(

I put up a new set of hairpins and I have to say I am pretty smitten with them.

Movies in the park

Mr. W and I had a wonderful evening in East Los Angeles watching movies in the park with my sis and her hubby. It was a beautiful cool night filled with yummy popcorn and carmel candy apples, and graced by happy people. The movie of the night was Transformers. My favorite part of the whole night was not so much the movie, but spending time with the people I love most and watching kids play in the sprinklers at 9:30pm--fully dressed! I was tempted to run through the sprinklers but I did not want to ride home in wet clothes....I guess that's the grown up in me talking.

I can't wait until next Wednesday's movie night!
